POSITION:     Junior Application Developer

SALARY:       R16 000.00 CTC + performance Incentive (max R16 000.00)

 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Prior working experience with the tools and skills listed below

• Candidates should be familiar with working in an Agile Development team

• Formal Tertiary Programming Qualification required

• 2 Years work as a developer, working on development projects

Role and responsibilities:

The company has several bespoke applications designed and built on various platforms including: C#, ASP.net, MVC, ADO.NET and on SQL DB. Applications are deployed over 80 stores country – wide and supported by a small in-house development team based in Gauteng. The company interface with banking institutions and credit bureaus daily and are very sensitive to timely data submissions critical to business performance.

• Support of existing applications. Data Mining, bug resolution; problem analysis; add on of new features and functionality

• Reporting, Building new and support, modify existing

• Application Helpdesk monitoring and improvements

• Support Development of new products and features – including Arching, Warehousing, Online shop, Mobile app.

• On-going development and support of internal company applications – CRM, Share Point and other marketing and sales database analytics.

 

The position has an after –hours support requirement. The candidate will be on support one week a month and needs to fulfill set tasks and duties in the evenings and on weekends when on duty.
