Position: Group Marketing Manager
Responsible For: The Marketing Department
Budget Responsibilities: Managing the marketing and communication fund, as contributed by the franchisees.
Location: Gauteng, KZN & W.Cape
Salary: Salary negotiable based on experience

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree, or higher, in marketing or related field

Any other formal marketing qualification and/or certificates
Experience
-
10 to 15 years in a relevant marketing role
Experience working in:

A corporate marketing environment
-
A retail sales environment
-
A customer services industry
-
The financial services and/or retail banking industry
-
A business-2- business marketing environment
-
The advertising and communications industry
Experience:
-
Managing a marketing department/division
-
Managing agency and other strategic partners
-
Managing customer loyalty programmes
Skills, capabilities, expertise:

Developing and implementing marketing strategy
-
Working with customer databases
-
Analysis and interpretation of customer data

Digital and social marketing expertise
-
A good knowledge of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI)

Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Management of the marketing function
-
Lead, manage, coordinate and control the activities of the marketing department
-
Drive collaboration and integration with all other support departments within the Group
-
Measure and report on all Marketing spend in respect on feet / transactions/ enquiries
-
Provide training, development and supervision to guide, motivate and retain marketing staff
-
Conduct staff performance appraisals in accordance with company policies and procedures
-
Develop the annual marketing and communication budget
-
Manage and control the implementation of the annual marketing and communication budget
-
Manage the on-going performance and relationships with all key agency partners including: Research,
-
Advertising, Public Relations, Digital and Social,
-
Manage the financial stewardship of agency accounts
-
Manage the relationship between marketing department and the franchisees
-
Manage on-going relationships with strategic alliance partners
-
Identify and analyse potential alliance partnerships
-
Motivate and increase local area marketing activities
Marketing strategy

Conduct and analyse market research to understand consumer behaviour and identify new productopportunities
-
Maintain and manage the implementation of the market segmentation analysis across all communicationdisciplines
-
Review and analyse market conditions, consumer data and competitor activity on a regular basis
-
Develop a holistic marketing strategy in collaboration with the Operations Department and franchisees
-
Review and update the marketing strategy on a regular basis
-
Conduct on-going strategic planning for product lines
Marketing communication
-
Manage and coordinate the development, production and implementation of all communication togenerate leads and attract new franchisee prospects
-
Create and implement a communications strategy that Introduces / entices new people into our brand
-
Manage and coordinate the development, production and implementation of all external communicationincluding: ATL advertising, BTL advertising, Online advertising, Digital and Social Media content andconsumer PR

Ensure the on-going maintenance and content management of all website activity including the Web Shop
-
Ensure the quality of all marketing and communication material and collateral
-
Ensure the timeous distribution of all marketing and communication material and collateral
-
Approve all media and channel strategies and plans
-
Manage and coordinate the development, production and implementation of all internal communicationincluding: marketing collateral, events, activations and conferences

Manage and coordinate the effective dissemination of all Group and franchisee messaging andcommunication
